Honoring 49 Years of Excellence in Public Accounting and Service to the Eastern Shore Community

On January 1, 2026, PKS & Company, P.A. celebrates the well‑deserved retirement of Partner Robert (“Bob”) L. Moore after 49 years of distinguished service in public accounting and steadfast commitment to the communities of the Eastern Shore. Bob has built an enduring reputation for integrity, technical excellence, and genuine care for clients and colleagues alike.

A native of Chincoteague, Virginia, Bob has lived on the Eastern Shore his entire life. He joined PKS in 2018 when Moore & Company, P.A.—the Salisbury firm he led for 16 successful years—merged with PKS, bringing his deep tax and advisory experience to our clients and teams.

Bob’s areas of practice have spanned income and estate tax planning, audit representation, sales and personal property tax, and broad‑based business consulting—from new business startups to cash management and QuickBooks advisory. His blend of experience and practical judgment has made him an invaluable resource for individuals, closely held businesses, and not‑for‑profits across the region.

Beyond the office, Bob has given generously of his time and leadership across numerous boards and civic organizations over several decades, including service with the Greater Salisbury Committee, Salisbury University Foundation (Lifetime Member, Past Chair), Salisbury‑Wicomico Economic Development Corporation (Past President), Eastern Shore Chapter of the MACPA (Past President), trusteeship for the Wicomico County Pension System (Past Chair), and Trinity United Methodist Church (Past Chair, Finance & Pastor Parish Relations), among others.

As Bob begins this new chapter, he looks forward to enjoying time on the golf course, relaxing at the beach, and creating lasting memories with his family—including his seven grandsons. Well‑known for his devotion to family and his faith, Bob’s next season promises to be rich with joy and meaningful moments.  Please join us in congratulating Bob and celebrating his remarkable career.
