PKS & Company, P.A. is pleased to announce that Ashley M. Stern, CPA has earned the Certified Government Financial Manager® designation.  In order to become a CGFM®, Ashley has met a stringent set of criteria and passed a rigorous exam administered by the Association of Government Accountants.  This professional certification recognizes the unique skills and special knowledge required of today’s government financial managers.  It covers governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting at the federal, state and local levels.  It was specifically designed to meet the critical need for an increased emphasis on the professional qualifications and stature of government financial managers.

Ashley is a graduate of Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration.  She manages a variety of clients including non-profit organizations, local and municipal government entities, for-profit businesses, as well as individuals. Ashley is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
